I have a question for those who participated in the Marine Corp Marathon,
either last year, or the year before last. I understand from runners that I spoke to, thought it was a great Marathon. So I know, a lot of runners
enjoyed the course.
My question, is, would you consider this a fast course? I have 2 reasons
for wanting to possibly run this marathon, that is, if my body allows
me.
1. I ran my 1st marathon in 2001, and qualified to run Boston. Rather
than take the time off, I was so inclined to try to better my time in
Boston, big mistake. I ended up watching the race as a spectator. I was
still injured a year later. I have a permanent injury, but I can work around it, as long as, I don't overdo, and run 4 days a week. So I only
want to run another Marathon, in order to try & qualify for Boston.
2. I turn 50 on Oct 29th, the same day as the Marine Corp Marathon.
Like I said, the main reason I want to run another Marathon is just
to qualify for Boston, and go, and have fun in BOston, if I can qualify.
Like I should have done the first time.
