In order to keep this from becoming a scoring nightmare here are my suggestions to be discussed at the Crime Prevention 5k after party...
------
Rules
1. Competition will be scored across 8 racing distances
1m, 2m, 5k, 8k, 10k, 10m, 1/2, marathon
2. In order to accommodate race scheduling 2 races at each distance up to 10 miles and 4 races for each of the half and full marathons will be chosen.
3. Time results will be age graded for scoring (WMA 2006) as a percentile 0-100 rounded of to the thousandth.
4. Each runner is scored on their best time from each distance.
4a. Top 4 scores from each team at each distance are added together for up to 400 points per race and 3200 points for the whole season.
4b. Individuals will be scored and ranked separately over the 8 race distances for up to 800 points.
5. Course must be certified for the distance
6. Results must be on the Internet
7. Team representatives will email a list of team members in each race to the scorer (Probably me). I will work with Brad Finley to keep the results up to date on the CHARR web pages.
8. _________ Suggestions?

I like the idea of the third place team washing the first place team's cars at the next Chickasabogue.
No prize for second place!
