I have a couple of friends that are trying to "get back" into running.
They have a "nice" pace" and intersperse walking with running.
If you are interested let me know thru this forum and I will put you in contact.
Sometimes it is nice to have individuals that run at different times and different days during the week. So, you could also participate in the group run that Pat suggested.
