For those who don't know, Team Spiridon was allowed to enter a team into the Hood to Coast Relay this year. www.hoodtocoast.com
This race is "limited" to 1000 teams of 12 runners each, and closes out on the very first day. We have been looking forward to this race for quite some time and we were not disappointed. The race starts in "waves" with the "slower" teams going first and finishing with the "fastest" teams. The first wave of runners began from the starting line at the top of Mt. Hood at 6:30AM, our wave didn't start until 6:15PM that evening! (we had a lot of people to try and catch!)
For those who have never run in a relay such as this, you really owe it to yourself to try and do one sometime......it's an experience you will never forget.

Everyone had a wonderful time as well as running great times for the race!
Team Spiridon finished the race in 22hrs & 47min.
We finished 45th overall out of a field of 1004 teams
We also finished 8th in our division out of 315 teams!
We were very pleased with our finish considering this relay attracts all of the "elite" teams including teams put together by most of the major shoe companies(Nike, Brooks,etc) along with elite teams fielded by the major shoe stores throughout the U.S.
