In regard to your questions, you can take the apps to the L'Arche office (151 South Ann Street, Mobile, Alabama 36604- 476-8732 ).
The Cutoff pace for the race is 16 minutes per mile.
THis is not from the horse, however, closer to the mule.

"This is probably impossible but here goes!
I am coming over from Pascagoula to race walk the ½ marathon and my wife
wants to participate. We are older than most but are fully devoted to our
walking, having competed in the National Senior Games in California. (That
doesn’t mean we are champions). I’m OK with what I do, and my wife, Judy,
can easily walk a 10 km at around a 14 minute pace. Are there any teams who
aren’t competitive that just enjoy what they do? If so she would like to
join them.
