How is Gulf Coast Running Club able to put on quality races for $13 for members and $15 for day of registration. It seems as though the GCRC overall has much lower entry fees for all of their road races, duathlons, etc.
As far as ATR, I would rather see less money ($0.00)spent on bringing in "professionals" that not many people really care to see and do not really bring "quality" to the race. The money saved could be used as prize money that would bring in people who are really going to fight it out the entire 10K for a victory. Do these professionals bring in any return for the money that is spent on them? Does anyone come run the ATR because the Kenyans are running?
Just a few questions from a guy who is not going to pay $25 for a local 5K much less $30...
