Great race day!!! I will have to say, the merging of the 5k runners around mile 4 was not too great. I had to go out into the far left to dodge some of the 5 k runners and for the next mile or so I was constantly trying to get around slower 5 k runners. I do believe it slowed us 10k runners by a few seconds running side to side instead of forward. Can we come up with another way of combing the two distances? Maybe have the 5k runners start later by 15mins or so. I am not a elite runner but I was running a 6:38 and I feel it may have been a tad faster if I did not have to avoid 8 minute+per mile 5k runners 4 miles into the race.....
