The organizers and friends of The Mellow Milers ask that you please
make every effort to join us for one of the most incredibly special
editions of the Tuesday night midtown workout in the Mellow
Milers’ two-year history, this coming Tuesday, May 4 at 5:45pm.
On this special Tuesday, we’ll be remembering our sorely missed friend
and fellow Mellow Miler, Kyser Miree. As many know, Kyser, a charming
and personable young man and former college scholar who was still at
the start of a brilliant career at Chevron, lost his life this spring
-- an innocent soul thrust into a tragic, senseless crime in his home.
Now that we’ve dried our tears, we choose to celebrate the memory of
Kyser -- the happy young runner that he was with us; and we are so
very proud to honor his life and his memory while showing respect to
his bereaved family by renaming this Tuesday night, The Kyser Miler.
His family and close friends have been forever changed by their loss;
and our community has been rocked by what we cannot begin to
understand. We are using the Kyser Miler to raise funds for The Kyser
Miree Leadership Foundation begun by his family in Birmingham.
Donations are not required at the workout but will be gladly accepted.
Please come participate in the Kyser Miler at the Mellow Mushroom May
4, 5:45pm. Help us send some cosmic love to Kyser Miree, God rest his
soul; and help us celebrate his life, while we show Kyser's family
that the Mellow Milers, Mobile and Chevron care deeply about this
young man's life.
