The Heart of Champions 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run will be held on October 8, 2011 @ the Kids Park in Bay Minette, AL. The 5K will begin @ 8:00am & the 1-mile fun run @ 9:00am. The events will benefit less fortunate children w/gifts around X-mas & needy families at Thanksgiving in North Baldwin. The awards & door prizes are plentiful (ex. $50 cash prize to the overall 1st male & female, $30 to overall 2nd male & female, & $20 to overall 3rd male & female)... Participants can choose from technical A4 shirts (adult sizes only) or regular t-shirts (available in adult & kid sizes). Awards include HOC glasses & power sox... HOT Domino's Pizza, baked goods from Publix, fruit, snacks, & beverages will be available to race participants. The grand prize is a 3 night vacation accommodation in a 2 bedroom gulf front condo from 10/17/2011-5/15/2012 provided by Meyer Real Estate. There is also a school award of $150 & trophy that will be awarded to the school with the most participation.
