I was thinking that Rick might want to check with the owners of Callaghan's to see if they would be interested in sponsoring the race...and making it a 5K instead of an 8K. They might want to sell mimosas (for us non-beer drinkers) and/or pancake breakfasts, etc...There is already a 5k route in that area that some runners do on Thurs nights. Fewer streets to cross would diminish the expense for the po-po and maybe the sponsors could help with defraying those costs if there was something in it for them...Just sayin'
