The Trick or Trot 5K and Scary Scurry 1-Mile Fun Run will be held at 6 p.m. Friday on the lawn of the Mitchell Center near the Moulton Tower.
The event benefits USA Children's and Women's Hospital Evaluation Center.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Wednesday or online until midnight Wednesday. Early packet pickup and late registration will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday at the USA Children's and Women's Hospital cafeteria. Race-day registration will be held from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. on the lawn of the Mitchell Center.
In addition to food and beverages available after the race, there'll also be vendor tents, a kid-friendly monster movie, a band, pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating and a costume contest.
The Dog River Ghost Chase 5K will be held at 5:10 p.m. Saturday at the River Shack in Mobile. The one-half-mile Goblin Gallop starts at 5 p.m. Runners are invited to wear their Halloween costumes.
The event benefits projects of the Dog River Clearwater Revival.

The postrace party will include food, beverages and live music at the River Shack. The River Shack also will offer dinner and beverage discounts to race participants on race day.
The Prodisee Pantry Turkey Trot 5K will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday in Old Towne Daphne. A 1-mile fun run goes off at 9 a.m.
The event benefits the Prodisee Pantry in Spanish Fort, the largest non-profit emergency food pantry in Baldwin County.

The Speed the Light 5K and accompanying 1-mile fun run will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at Praise Family Church on Dawes Road in Mobile.
Organized by Flipside Student Ministries, the event benefits the Speed the Light Program.

Organized by Daughters of the Nile, the event benefits Shriners' Hospitals for Children.
