The Power Run 5K will be held at 8 a.m. Dec. 7 at Spanish Plaza in Mobile. The Guns and Hoses Fun Run will follow at 8:45.
Organized by the North Mobile Y, the event benefits the Y Campaign for Youth and Families.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Dec. 5 or online until midnight Dec. 5. Race-day registration will be held from 6:30 to 7:40 a.m. at Spanish Plaza.
Food and beverages will be provided after the race. Youngsters will receive a medal for participating in the fun run, and children's activities will be part of the postrace events.
The Semmes Snowflake 5K will be held at 8 a.m. Dec. 7 at Mary Montgomery High School. The event also has a 1-mile fun run.
The event benefits Second Chance/Transplant Kids.
