The Holiday Half Marathon and 8K Run will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Mullet Point Park.
Organized by the Port City Pacers, the event benefits the pediatrics department of USA Children's and Women's Hospital. Participants and spectators are encouraged by race officials to bring a new toy in its original wrapping.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday or online until midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 7 to 8 a.m. at Mullet Point Park.
Food and beverages will be provided after the race.
The Corpus Christi Cougars Running Wild 5K and Fun Run will be held on Saturday at Medal of Honor Park in Mobile. The 5K starts at 3 p.m. with the fun run at 4.
The event benefits the Corpus Christi Booster Club and the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation.
Runners can register at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the Corpus Christi School office, McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until 4 p.m. Thursday or online until midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the Performing Arts Pavilion at Medal of Honor Park.
The postrace party will include food, beverages, music and door prizes.
The Running with Champions 5K will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at Daphne City Hall.
The event benefits the Gem of Champions Level 5 All-Star Cheerleading team, which will be competing at the NCA Cheerleading National in Dallas in March and the Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, Fla., in April.
Runners can register online through Friday.
