The Sole2Soul Sweetheart Scoot 5K and 1-mile fun run will be held at 8 a.m. Feb. 8 at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park.
Organized by Sole2Soul Sisters, the event benefits Ransom Café.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Feb. 6 or online until midnight Feb. 6. Race-day registration will be held from 7 to 7:45 a.m. at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park.
Food and beverages will be provided and drawings for door prizes will be held after the race.
The Chick-fil-A Connect Race Series kicks off in Daphne at 8 a.m. Feb. 8. The 5K race will be accompanied by a 1-mile fun run and start at Daphne City Hall.
The event benefits WinShape Camps for Communities, which will provide scholarships for children to attend camp in the Daphne area.
The race is the first of 24 in the Chick-fil-A Connect Race Series scheduled this year in the southeastern United States. Two more are in Alabama - on April 12 in Athens and on June 14 in Decatur.
Runners can register online.
A free family fun zone for children younger than 12 will be open from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday.
The I Pink I Can Run 4-Mile Run will be held at 9 a.m. Feb. 8 at the Flora-Bama Lounge, Package and Oyster Bar on Perdido Key.
Organized by the Krewe du Ya Yas, the event aims to raise breast-cancer awareness and help economically challenged women receive early detection mammograms and deal with the disease.
The race was rescheduled from Oct. 6 because of Tropical Storm Karen.
Runners can register online through 8 p.m. Feb. 5. Registration will be held at packet pickup from 2 to 6 p.m. Feb. 6 at Running Wild Pensacola and 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Flora-Bama.
The Biggest Loser Half-Marathon, 5K and Fun Run will be held Feb. 9 in downtown Mobile, headquartered in the open lot bordered by Government, Royal and Church streets. The half-marathon is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Feb. 9, with the 5K following at 8:30. The 1-mile fun run for children 4 through 12 years old will start at noon.
The event is part of the Biggest Loser RunWalk Race Series.
Runners can register online through Feb. 6. Late registration, if available, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 8 in the Bon Secour Ballroom at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel.
The event will feature Gina McDonald from "The Biggest Loser" Season 14 and Dan and Jackie Evans from Season 5. The Finish Line Festival will include a costume contest and musical entertainment by Dan Evans.
