The 8K by the Bay will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at Arlington Park in Mobile. A 1-mile fun run will start at 9:15 a.m.
Produced by the Port City Pacers, the event benefits Penelope House, a shelter for victims of domestic abuse.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday, April 10, or online until midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.
Food, music and beverages will be part of the post-race activities.
The 11th annual Magnolia Run will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at Jesse's Restaurant in Magnolia Springs. The event also has a 1-mile fun run.
Sponsored by the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, the event benefits the Hattie Little Smith Scholarship Fund.
Runners can register online.
The post-race party includes food from Jesse's Restaurant, beverages, door prizes and music.
The Ram Run 5K will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at the University of Mobile. A 1-mile fun run will start at 9 a.m.
Organized by the University of Mobile Alumni Association, the event benefits the University of Mobile.
Runners can register online through midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m.
The post-race events will take place in front of the Bedsole Library.
The Green Dress Run for Shelter 5K Run/Walk starts at 2 p.m. Saturday at Washington Square in Mobile. The event also has a 2-Mile K9 Walk, which like the 5K, goes through the Oakleigh Garden District.
Organized by Callaghan's and Friends of the Mobile Animal Shelter, the event benefits Friends of the Mobile Animal Shelter.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday oronline until midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 12:30 to 1:50 p.m. at Washington Square.
Food and beverages will be provided after the race.
The Gulf Coast Half Marathon Series runs at Pensacola Beach at 7 a.m. Sunday. The race starts at the Casino Beach parking lot and ends at the Santa Rosa Island Authority parking lot.
Runners can register online until midnight Friday.
The Nearly World Famous Flounder's Post-Race Party is held in conjunction with the half marathon series event.
The Running for St. Jude 5K will be held at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at Bellingrath Gardens. The event also has a 1-mile fun run.
Organized by the St. Jude Runners Association and sponsored by Farris, Riley and Pitt, the event benefits St. Jude Children's Hospital. This is a local event held in conjunction with the St. Jude Memphis-to-Mobile Run taking place Tuesday through Saturday.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday or online until midnight Friday. Race-day registration will be held from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. at Bellingrath Gardens.
