The 18th annual Mullet Man Triathlon starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Flora-Bama Lounge, Package and Oyster Bar in Perdido Key. The race includes a one-half-mile swim in the Gulf of Mexico, a 17-mile bike ride and a 4-mile run.
A portion of the proceeds benefit children's charities in Florida and Alabama and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Team in Training.
Competitors can register online until 8 a.m. Friday. Race-day registration will be held from 6 to 7 a.m. at the Flora-Bama.
A post-race celebration is scheduled.
