The Lions Club Tunnel Vision 5K will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, starting near the intesection of Claiborne & Government Street in Mobile and finishing at Ralph & Kacoo's on the Causeway.
The event benefits the Lions Club of Mobile.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday or online until midnight Thursday. Late registration will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ralph & Kacoo's. Race-day registration and packet pick-up will be held from 6:15 to 7:45 a.m. at the starting area.
Food, beverages and music will be part of the postrace celebration at the Restaurant.
Participants are asked to park at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. Shuttle buses will take runners from Battleship Park to the starting line and from the finish to Battleship Park.
The 5K Rescue Run and Wiggle Waggle Walk/Run for the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF)will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at Bellingrath Gardens in Theodore.
Organized by ARF, all proceeds go to ARF.
Dogs are welcome at the Wiggle Waggle Walk. If no dog, you can rent one for a $10 donation. Reserve in advance!
