It is important to remember that there are two races, a 5K and a 10K being run simultaneously. If you are registered to run the 10K and have a 10K number and then during the race decide to turn at the 5K turn around, YOU WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE AWARDS OR IN THE DAY OF RACE RESULTS. To be included in awards you must run and finish the event you have a number for. You MAY eventually get a time and be included the final results but you will not be in the awards.
If you run the 5K, the turn around is right at Krispy Kreme. You will want to be in the east bound lane for the 5K and the west bound lane for the 10K.
Approaching the finish, 5K finishers will stay in the east bound lane (right side of the tunnel as you approach the finish). Finishers in the 10K will finish in the west bound lane (left of the tunnel)the same as in previous years.
