This was already mentioned wayback ago in this forum, but here is the info again, in case anyone else is out there in Friday night land procrastinating instead of studying the myriad congenital heart defects...
5 km RUN
Saturday November 13
Behind McCoys, at American Medical Response ambulance place
starts at 8:30 so register by 8 please.
Cost, $18.
Here is the deal as I understand it. The AMR ambulance people are a national outfit. The company likes to do public service stuff. This year, instead of a lame-o golf tourney, someone suggested a 5 km race. They aren't doing it to fill their coffers, they had to pick a charity...and they picked the Leukemia Lymphoma Society to get the loot.
There are awards. There will be drinks and goodies, and ofcourse, lots of medical aid on the course.
Hey, if getting up early is too "hard" for you, imagine a kid on chemo.
In lieu of your attendance, you can make donations too.
See ya'll there!
Lynn
