Ditto . . . while I ran below my expectations (I'm placing full blame Timmy's voo-doo doll in the registration house - although it wasn't affective enough to allow Timmy to catch me), I am satisfied with my albeit unsuccessful bid to catch Grandmaster David Jeffery over the last 3 miles (my "wheels" came off, his didn't - who'd have guessed?).

In the past, I have been a very outspoken critic of this course but, for some reason, this year I was able to notice some of the more pleasant aspects along miles 3 through 7 or so (the first and last two miles are stil through a cow pasture - apparently that's all I've been able remember about my two previous assaults on this course). While I still hate the marbled chip-and-seal pavement, the course does have more ups, downs, bends, and pleasant forrestry than I remembered from previous years so I'm retracting my previous harsh criticism of this course.

Leif
