Ben, nothing to be concerned about, the point is that your skeleton needs to adjust to the stresses of running as well your muscles. Your skeleton just takes more time to adapt. Your program of running every other day ought to give your body plenty of time to recover(muscles and bones). I have tried to find the reference, I thought it was in Galloway's Book on Running but have not yet been able to locate it.
