Every year someone is not satisfied with the awards. There is no way to recognize everyone that feels they should or may deserve some recognition. I'm not saying that you should not express your frustrations because I have at times in the past for other reasons.
However, I believe the new "non-elite" category request is a little unreasonable. It would require more classifications and therefore more work. More work means more volunteers, because I think that the ones that we have now are at their limits of reasonable expectations. Also if I am not mistaken, membership in the Port City Pacers qualifies you for local awards regardless of your residence (PCP staff please correct me quickly if I am wrong about that). So join the club before next year to be included for next year's ATR (check to see if I am correct first though).
