It is a real hassle believe it or not. We have to:
1) put the truck in Park,
2) curb the tires,
3) set the emergency brake,
4) kill the engine,
5) undo our seatbelts,
6) get out and deliver the mail,
7) get back in the seat,
8) buckleup,
9) start the engine,
10) undo the emergency brake
11) and put it back in gear.
May not sound like much but try doing it repeatedly. It gets old real fast. If you don't do one of these things and it results in a rollaway then as Donald Trump says "You're FIRED"!!!
The average route has around 650 stops to cover in around 5 hours. If you
have to do all of the above very often, it can't be done in 5 hours. So PLEASE don't block the mailbox. It makes us very disgruntled and you know what happens then. WE GO POSTAL!!! Thanks for letting me vent.
