Richard:

1- Spoken like someone who doesn't work night shift!
I have to post when I get a chance. Sometimes this is as I am leaving for work, sometimes this is the middle of the night. I don't think Jane would appreciate calls at 3 am. If you are volunteering to receive my calls at 3 am let me know.

2- With the number of people who are getting rid of their home phones and moving to cell phones only, we folks with home phones have to pay the long distance charge to call them. I never know who is a long distance call or not.

3- As a full time student, I don't read the Paceletter or anything else that doesn't have a title like, Critical Care, ACLS, or EKG Interpretation. I have a foot tall stack of journals, athletic magasines and other publications I have to wade through eventually. The Paceletter is a fine publication but I don't haven't read one in months, and I certainly haven't committed its contents to memory.

4- If not for communication, then what is the Forum for?

5- If I called people then they would want to call me back. I hate getting calls, or worse, ignoring them because I had the phone unplugged. The phone demands immediacy.

See? All very good reasons, i.m.h.o.

Sleepy time now...Lynn.
