Congratulations to the local females!
**************************************************************************
Lisa Drew did not run the ATR but this new Master runner is awesome!
**************************************************************************
Jean Lankford is in a class of her own.
**************************************************************************
Amy Huff has been ranked #1 in Joey's female poll for quite some time and she is faster than her 40:37in the ATR. She is capable of sub 39 this season.
**************************************************************************
Kristin Babington could be an awesome 10Ker if it was her focus. Great Marathoner that will get better as she goes.
**************************************************************************
LeAnn Galloway is getting better all the time and keep an eye out for her 7th grade daughter, who will be/already is a terrific runner.
**************************************************************************
Lauren Lemon (Tom's daughter)is a success story. This South Alabama runner has broken through and taken off. Watch her keep going!
**************************************************************************
Mary Erin Imwalle is another that keeps chalking up experience and it is truly in her heart and soul.
*************************************************************************
Michelle Kitson, Laurie Repoll, Jessie Moore, Susan Adams, Rhonda Collings and Susan Pierce (44:44 at SFC) are all hanging tuff!
*************************************************************************
14 year old Spring Hill Baptist runner Anna Jarman had a break-out performance in the ATR with a 44:09 tenth place local placing and winner of the 11-14 Female AG.
*************************************************************************
Then there is Marian Loftin that dominates more and more, and former Mobilian Faye Eisenacher, a 78 year old (1:14) that has run every ATR and 80 year old Daphne Dvorak (1:30) who represented us at the SFC.
*************************************************************************
Without runners with a great attitude like Suzi McDonald, Cindy Leonard, Jane Givens, Lynn "?" Allin, Allyson Lamey, and many others, the faster runners would not be able. However, I have no idea why Kit Wright Hunter (2nd overall at SFC with a 42:11)and news reporter 5K specialist former Ole Miss runner Sandra Shaw won't utilize more of their running abilities in the 10K!!!!!!!!!!
*************************************************************************
Great Win for veteran runner Patty Erickson, who ran away with the SFC in 41:38.
*************************************************************************
Mark Hutcheson is at Billoti's every year with encouragement waiting on his
wife Susan, who is also a great masters runner.
*************************************************************************
And Dawn McEnery is on Broad Street every year for the sake of us and it is her word that help us make it to the finish.
************************************************************************
We can't forget about Peggy Olive, who does a wondrous job with results race after race. Thank You PO and many thanks to all the volunteers.
************************************************************************
MO Roberts won the racewalk at SFC
************************************************************************
Last but definitely not least is JW's pick of "MOST CONSISTENT" local female runner in the ATR over the last six years. Lori Thomasson has been second (runner-up) three of the last four years, fourth last year, eighth in 2001 and seventh in 2000. The cool thing about Lori's consistency is her times.

Check this out.
2005-41:06
2004-41:03
2003-41:12

A six second spread. It is machinelike!!!
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Four years ago...in 2002 Thomasson broke through with a 40:32.
The 39 year old will join that Masters group of girls soon and I don't see any reason why Lori can't go underneath 40 minutes in the 10K if she wants to!
*************************************************************************
GIRLS RUN WILD
and Kelly Wild really did.
Congratulations to the first master and tenth overall female runner as Kelly Wild, Ed's wife, of Niceville, FL ran a 38:09 to finish 62nd overall.
Great job Kelly and Good Luck on the Master's circuit. You can do it!
**************************************************************************
Another thing and this is personal!
It is Male Masters runners like Roy Duncan, James Frazier, Tim Unger, Leonard Vergunst, Jeff Hathorne, Brian Smith, Alexander Thomas, Tom Graves, Larry Wayne, Frank Malone, Tracey Levins, Keenon Drew and many more that keep Joey Warner training hard!
