“The 24th annual Victory Bowl Run will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 7th, with a new location and format due to damage at Marriott’s Grand Hotel. This year’s event will feature an 8k run that will begin and end at the new Biscuit King/Fun Barn on Baldwin County 24, just south of Baldwin County 32. The cost to enter is $17. Pre-registration time will be 7:30 a.m T-Shirts, awards and a ceremony with food and drinks will highlight the run. Proceeds will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. This year’s event will be held in memory of Charlie Spencer, the son of local running leader Lonn Spencer. For more information, call race director Willie Foster at 928-7363.”
