Hey Everyone!
Thanks so much for your prayers and concern.
Ugghhhh!!! Back surgery is awful! I had a laminotomy/microdiscectomy on Monday. I had a few complications, so I was in the hospital until Thursday, pm. Actually, I had a reaction to the anesthesia and hurled until I busted my stiches out and my MD had to restich the incision! I wasn't able to keep anything down for several days. Finally, after just the right combination of phenergan and darvocet, I was a happy camper. Other than that, everything went well. My surgery was textbook, I was immediately relieved of leg and sciatic pain. My lower back muscles are screaming at me, but I am not suffering with nerve pain. Thankfully!
I cannot wait to be out running and back to work again. But, it will be a minimum of six to nine weeks before I am released to run. I started walking today per Dr.'s orders. Ooucchh!! You would not believe how tiring it was to walk to the end of the driveway and back.
I desperately wanted to be at the half this morning. I hope it was a great race for everyone!!
Again, thanks to all of you for supporting me in prayer and wishes of wellness.
