That's one reason Elvis has left the building. Are you talking about a long run or what? I eat very little if I'm doing speed work usually something like gumbo or soup and several hours before I run. If I'm doing a long run I still eat light but I'm less likely to eat gumbo or soup. On my long runs I rely on refueling with gel paks to get me through sometimes I'll throw in a power bar or fruit. On race mornings, I like a slice of toast with jelly and a cup of coffee. Before the Pensacola Marathon I had a Krispy Kreme doughnut and a cup of KK coffee (breakfast of champions!).
