I never cared for the "What was your time" or "How's your time" questions. I guess they are either "rhetorical" or a version of "small talk". I admit I've caught myself asking it a few times and I guess it's because when someone walks up to you it's the first thing thought of to say to that person because it's been asked so many times before to you at past races.
